A New Journey!

Who is Blake_VIC and what will this Substack offer?

Hello everyone! My name is Blake, otherwise known as Blake_VIC! Some of you have been following my trading journey on my main account for a few years now while others have only learned of who I am in the past few months. A quick introduction of who I am: I’m a 29 year old trader / investor with a primary focus on my Economic Cycles Theory that I theorized back in February of 2018. I begun my trading journey back in 2009 when I was only 11 years old. I was in a class labeled “gifted / challenge” class, which I’m sure some of you are probably familiar with. This class involved completing specific challenges, one of which was an investment challenge. We were given $500 and 10 weeks to invest in a stock of our choosing. Admittedly, I was out of school the day we were to choose our stock, but since we were placed into pairs, my friend was responsible for our pick. I remember him telling me that he covered his eyes and picked one at random. He chose Discover Financial Services, which turned out to be a phenomenal choice! Our investment in DFS grew from $500 to over $10,000 in just 10 weeks, placing us third in the state of Mississippi out of nearly 500 pairs! We were invited to Memphis, Tennessee to attend both a ceremony and a Memphis Redbirds game. I still remember that day all these years later. From that point forward, I was obsessed with the stock market. I started tracking stocks like Apple, Nike, Walmart, and more through the stock app on my iPhone 4. I spent years researching and learning the ins and outs of the stock market. I remember using some trading app that allowed me to simulate trading and going out to tell my dad that I had made $70,000 trading Nike while he was watering the plants in the backyard. He gave me a little laugh and said good job. I continued my journey of studying, researching, and paper trading up until April of 2018. I finally decided to start trading with real money nearly a decade after being introduced to the stock market. I deposited a few hundred dollars, but my first trade was a singular call on AAPL. I bought the call for $29 and sold it for $375 just two days later. Call it beginner’s luck, but I was hooked! I’ve included proof of that trade in the pictures below. Six weeks later, my account was worth more than $18,000 due to a combination of what I now know as risky trades, most of which were weekly Snapchat calls. Again, call it beginner’s luck, but I was hooked!

After that, I continued my journey as a new trader. I quickly learned that trading wasn’t as easy as I initially thought. I had my fair share of setbacks and blown accounts after that. Due to my economic cycles theory, I was able to accurately predict the covid crash back in July of 2019 along with the inflation that would follow. I was also able to accurately predict a new form of QE was coming back in September of 2022, just days before the BOJ, BOE, and Federal Reserve bailout/intervention and just a few months before the “not QE” QE that came after the regional bank crisis in March of 2023. I was also able to accurately predict that SPY would tag $641.72 by 2H 2025 all the way back in 2022 due to the continued expansion I saw in the markets. Back on December 31st, 2023, after 2-3 years of waiting for the right conditions, I finally called for the commodity super cycles to officially begin.

Many of you are already familiar with my Economic Cycles Theory and my love for macro economics. I do not say this to brag or boast, but I have had many people tell me they look to me for their macro and commodity views, with a handful of people even calling me “Mr. Macro” or the “Macro King.” Now, there are people much smarter and much more knowledgable than I am in regards to macro, but I doubt you’ll be able to find many, if anyone, that have been as accurate or more accurate than me over the past 8 years in projecting future, macro events. This is something I will be going over as the weeks, months, and years progress.

As stated, I’ve had my fair share of screw-ups, as have all honest traders, but I have learned from all of them and continue to learn to this day. I’m not perfect, nor will I ever claim to be. I aspire to be the most honest and transparent man I can be both inside and outside of trading. My faith in the Lord is what guides me in all my decisions, and His hands are all over this new journey of mine. As much as I love trading, I love teaching, guiding, and helping people even more. Some of you reading this are the reason for this Substack. I received countless DMs over the past few months asking if I had my own Discord server. The answer was always no. That changes today.
